PEUGEOT TIPPER VAN

DISCOVER PEUGEOT BOXER WITH TIP TRAILER
An essential tool in the light construction and horticultural sectors among others, the Peugeot Boxer Tipper van offers the flexibility to transport a range of bulk and other loads, with the ability to tip bulk loads from the rear of the vehicle.

The Peugeot Tipper range offers robust construction with lightweight materials to offer a long service life with a highly competitive payload. The tip trailer’s platform is formed from high tensile steel to resist denting from loads such as rock, stone and aggregate. Protective coatings are applied to all parts of the body platform to ensure durability. The load deck is completely flat, with no surface projections or crevices. A perimeter load restraint rail contains the load restraint lashing rings ensuring the load deck remains clear after tipping.

The side boards are formed from double-skinned aluminium to reduce body weight and maximise payload, while the smooth finish makes them suitable for the application of customer livery.  At the front of the body, the bulkhead/gantry incorporates three load lashing rails and high capacity load securing eyes, enabling a variety of loads to be secured easily. An embossed steel panel fitted to the bulkhead is designed to protect cab occupants from a shifting load, while also ensuring rearward visibility. The gantry top rail offers a 400kg capacity for over-length loads.

High-yield steel is used for the full-width tailboard, which features top and bottom locks. These have been side mounted to ensure they do not interfere with the tipping discharge area. The top and bottom locks allow either “tip over” (bottom hinged) or “tip through” (top-hinged) discharge. A built-in fail-safe mechanism prevents accidental detachment of the tailboard from its hinges.

The tailboard external finish includes full “Chapter 8” high-visibility markings and is supported on wire stays when open to assist loading, which also ensures that the rear lights are visible with the board in the horizontal position. The tailboard also incorporates a long-load lashing rail in its top edge as standard.

The Peugeot Boxer Tipper is fitted with under-floor tipping gear which incorporates overload and hose burst protection. This compact mechanism fits inside the body sub-frame and is designed to be maintenance free for the life of the vehicle. A manually-operated body prop supports the body in the raised position for additional operator safety. A cab-mounted cable remote control activates the tipping gear, which incorporates a safety cut-out switch.

Two versions of the Peugeot Boxer Tipper are available, the L2 Single Cab and L3 Crew Cab. As standard, the Crew Cab variant offers seven seats including the driver, with a dual front passenger seat and four individual seats in the second row. Single cabs offer seating for a driver and two passengers. Single cab models offer a payload up to 1,222kg* and Crew Cab models up to 1,033kg*.

All Peugeot Boxer Tipper conversions are available in a choice of seven cab colours; Bianca White, Clipper Blue, Dragoon Blue, Volcano Red, Horizon Yellow and the optional metallic colours Aluminium and Graphite Grey.
